In the same vein as Fire Emblem (Lucina and Robin aside), I think it would be a nice if all the FF newcomers were all protagonists from the main games (meaning no Tifa or Sephiroth, sorry!).
So yeah, following Cecil is Lightning from FFXIII (and next on the list is Terra from FFVI).
Honestly, I actually really like Lightning, mostly because of her design, her moveset and her story ark (so basically, all of her? Heh...), and I frankly think that she (and the XIII games overall) are HIGHLY overhated.
Of course, her being the OTHER FF representative would be kinda odd (and quite infuriating for the haters, lol), but I still think that she would make for a pretty awesome addition to the roster, especially when it comes to the Paradigm Shift.
