JIN GETS READY FOR THE NEXT BATTLE!

The protagonist from the Tekken series arrives to Smash to teach everyone the meaning of fear!

Jin's moveset is mostly taken from "Street Fighter X Tekken", and, like Ryu, is mostly all standard stuff, but in capable hands he can be quite destructive.

Appearance:
-His classic costume from "Tekken 3" and his hoodie jacket from "Tekken 4"

Intro:
-Appears supressing the Devil Gene's power and then stands in his fighting pose.

Idle animation:
-The same from the "Tekken" games and "Street Fighter X Tekken".

  • Final Smash: Devil Beam

Taunts:
  • Up: Jin rages with the power of the Devil Gene.
  • Down: Does his Power Stance while saying "Predictable!" (Note: This taunt can also be used to absorb attacks)
  • Side: Holds his fist charged with energy and says "I control my fate!"
Alternate costumes:
  • Classic White
  • Classic Blue
  • Classic Black
  • Classic Yellow
  • Classic Red
  • Hoodie
Stage:
(Info from the Tekken wiki)
-Mishima Dojo: A training dojo and a Buddhist shrine owned by the Mishima family with wooden floors and several breakable statues adorning the sides and Kazumi Mishima can be seen in the center praying.
As the battle progresses, the stage will become slightly darker and Kazumi will transform into her Devil form, with her aura illuminating the stage.

Victory pose:
(All of them from "Tekken 6")
-Exhales with his arms forming an X and says "Don't stand in my way"
-Does a couple of punches and a kick while saying "This is reality"
-Gives his back to the camera and says "Pitiful"

Victory music:
-An excerpt from "Two Against The Darkness", the opening to "Tekken 6" (also used in "Street Fighter X Tekken").

Music:
  • "Jin's Theme" (Tekken 3)
  • "Xiaoyu's Theme" (Tekken 3)
  • "Heihachi's Theme" (Tekken 3)
  • "Jun's Theme" (Tekken 2)

Much like Sophitia and "Soul Calibur", since Namco had a hand at developing Smash 4 (and hopefully 5), it would make sense to include a character from one of their fighting games.

And while "Soul Calibur" is definitely no slouch, no one can deny that "Tekken" is Namco's most iconic fighting game series, much like Ryu and "Street Fighter" is to Capcom.

And since Heichachi is already in "PlayStation All-Stars" (and he's pretty fun to use, I must say), it would make sense for the 2nd most popular member of the Mishima family to be in Smash.

EDIT: HOLY SHIT GUYS

As the old saying goes, hindsight is 20/20. But even five years ago when this was posted according to the publish date, if anyone was going to represent Tekken in SSB, it's probably not going to be the kid who showed up in Tekken 3. No offense to you. I mean Super Smash Brothers is all about honoring the trailblazers and those who have been with their series pretty much since the beginning.
